Φωταγώγηση της Βουλής των Ελλήνων για την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Πάρκινσον
Με το μήνυμα «Είμαστε Εδώ – Ακούστε τη φωνή μας» φωταγωγήθηκε απόψε η πρόσοψη του Μεγάρου της Βουλής των Ελλήνων με αφορμή την Παγκόσμια Ημέρα Πάρκινσον, ως ελάχιστη ένδειξη συμπαράστασης τόσο προς τους ασθενείς όσο και των οικογενειών τους.
Η πρωτοβουλία πραγματοποιείται με στόχο την ενημέρωση και ευαισθητοποίηση της κοινωνίας για μία χρόνια, προοδευτική νευροεκφυλιστική νόσο που αφορά δεκάδες χιλιάδες ανθρώπους στην Ελλάδα. Είναι ενδεικτικό ότι, σύμφωνα με διεθνείς εκτιμήσεις, ο αριθμός των ανθρώπων που ζουν με τη νόσο Πάρκινσον αυξάνεται σταθερά, κυρίως λόγω της γήρανσης του πληθυσμού αλλά και περιβαλλοντικών παραγόντων. Το 2015 οι ασθενείς παγκοσμίως υπολογίζονταν σε περίπου 6 εκατομμύρια, ενώ οι προβλέψεις αναφέρουν σημαντική περαιτέρω αύξηση τα επόμενα χρόνια, γεγονός που αναδεικνύει την ανάγκη άμεσου σχεδιασμού πολιτικών υγείας και κοινωνικής φροντίδας
Η Βουλή των Ελλήνων εκφράζει την αμέριστη συμπαράστασή της στους πάσχοντες και επαναβεβαιώνει τη δέσμευσή της για τη στήριξη πολιτικών που προάγουν τη δημόσια υγεία, την κοινωνική συνοχή και την ισότιμη φροντίδα όλων των πολιτών.
Η δράση τελεί με πρωτοβουλία του Συλλόγου Ασθενών και Φροντιστών ΠΑΡ.ΚΙΝ.Σ.Ο.Ν., ο οποίος εκπροσωπεί τους ανθρώπους που ζουν με τη νόσο, τις οικογένειες και τους φροντιστές τους, προωθώντας την ενημέρωση, την αλληλοϋποστήριξη και τα δικαιώματα των ασθενών.
